Russell Tym grew up at Coonamble, attended university in Perth and Sydney, and began working as an investment adviser for Australian Fixed Trusts in 1981 in Sydney. In 1983 he moved to Orange to set up a local office for the firm.
In 1987 Russell set up an office of MoneyLink Financial Planning, the first independent financial advisory service in the Central West. Russell became Managing Director of MoneyLink Financial Planning in 1990. The company operates several offices in NSW and Queensland.
Russell is a Certified Financial Planner. He provides financial advice on all aspects of personal financial planning – wealth accumulation, tax reduction strategies, debt management, savings plans, superannuation including self-managed funds, life insurances, share advice and stock broking, redundancy planning and retirement income planning – in fact any strategy that can help people get ahead financially.
Russell continues to provide advice and service to clients throughout the Central West as well as in Sydney and interstate. He also writes a regular column in the Central Western Daily and the Western Magazine and does radio commentary on 2GZ in Orange and 2DU in Dubbo.
Russell’s philosophy is that you don’t have to be rich to need financial advice. He is happy to talk to anyone who is seriously interested in improving their financial circumstances, regardless of whether they have substantial investments already or not.
Russell is a member of the Financial Planning Association which has recognised his efforts with a Distinguished Service Award.
Russell is married with three adult children. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Orange, Chair of the Orange Regional Museum Fund, serves on the Orange City Council Economic Development Committee, is organiser of the annual Great Volcanic Mountain Challenge and an active member of several other local organisations.
MoneyLink’s Orange office is officially recognised by the Financial Planning Association as a designated Professional Practice.
Julie Nipperess has over sixteen years experience in the Financial Services Industry. She commenced her career in 2000, working in the finance and property industry, assisting clients with the construction and maintenance of investment property portfolios. She is a qualified Mortgage Broker and worked as a property finance specialist with Westpac Bank, before moving into the role of Bank Manager, with Westpac in Orange, a position she held for a number of years.
In 2010, Julie became a qualified Financial Planner, achieving her Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. She practiced as a Planner with Westpac Bank, servicing Orange and the wider community throughout Central Western NSW, including Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes, and Cowra.
Julie has recently moved into private practice with Moneylink Financial Planning, based in Orange, and is continuing to service her clients and grow her practice throughout the central west.
Julie provides specialist services in all areas of financial planning, including advice relating to Self-Managed Super Funds. Her primary focus and passion is working with young people – the “Under 55’s” – to help them to establish solid financial foundations (in the areas of superannuation, insurance and debt management), in order to assist them to grow their wealth and “live well”, while preparing for a financially secure retirement.
