The 18-year-old student was crowned at Friday night’s Gold Crown Ball at Panthers which was attended by close to 500 people.
Amanda is involved in a number of sports including athletics, swimming and volunteers as a referee for school touch football.
She plans to study business accounting and finance at Charles Sturt University and wants to travel Australia.
The two Gold Crown Princesses have been named as Keira O’Leary and Jessica Spence.
Lisa Loughlin, a mother of three, took forth place.
Co-ordinator Beth Barrie said this is the first year the competition has attracted so many entrants.
“It was so difficult to choose from such high quality entrants that we spent two hours deliberating after they had completed their interviews at Citigate on Wednesday,” she said. “They made such amazing speeches it was virtually impossible to choose just one so we invited them to Ladies’ Night so the judges could see a different aspect of them.”
Ms Barrie said the Gold Crown Ball was the culmination of a wonderful week and a half of fun.
She added that all the contestants attended Saturday night’s finals where they posed for pictures with the winners and acted as ambassadors for the event.
“They were just lovely,” she said.
