They will be running onto a packed ANZ Stadium to play a curtain-raiser before the Australia and New Zealand Test match.

In what is shaping as a night the kids will never forget, team coach Shane Cantrill was this week putting his charges through their final preparation ahead of their night of nights.

“We’re looking good,” he said yesterday. “The jumpers are washed and ready and the boys are champing at the bit to get onto the paddock.

“In fact, we all can’t wait. There’s a whole mob of us parents heading down and we’ve got tickets so we can all sit together as well.”
