BATHURST residents have again be warned to prepare for severe thunderstorms as the state's lost summer rolls on.
The Bureau of Meteorology had recorded 10.2mm of rain across the region between 9am yesterday and 6am today, and said more was on the way.
A weather warning issued at 5.21am said today's thunderstorms were likely to produce large hailstones, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
"Locations which may be affected include Orange, Mudgee, Bathurst, Katoomba, Dubbo, Parkes, Wagga Wagga, Albury and Tumbarumba," the warning said.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service advises that people should:
❏ Move ther car under cover.
❏ Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
❏ Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
❏ If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
❏ Unplug computers and appliances.
❏ Avoid using the phone during the storm.
❏ Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
