Civic centre energy use to be audited

27 Oct, 2009 07:15 AM
THE daily and weekly usage of appliances at Bathurst Regional Council’s Russell Street Civic Centre will soon be under the spotlight.

A report to councillors at the last monthly meeting said quotes were sought from companies to conduct a detailed energy and water audit in September.

The report said the audit will either need to look at an onsite analysis of daily and weekly usage from multiple appliances or examine fluctuations in real time.

“Consultations were also asked to quote on the completion of a pilot study which would implement cost effective recommendations,” the report said.

Quotations are currently being assessed and it is expected the successful consultant will be notified this month, the report said.

The audit would be complete and a report submitted to council by the end of the year.
