ALL the best things to do this autumn have been outlined in the new Autumn Colours brochure.
Produced by Bathurst Regional Council, the stylish brochure has 57 pages packed full of cultural performances, special events, food and wine tastings, heritage tours and outdoor activities.
Autumn Colours 2010 runs from the beginning of March through to the end of May and includes the Gold Crown Carnival, the B2B cycle race, Proclamation Day, the Festival of Sporting Cars and the Hill End Historic Buildings Open Day.
Mayor Paul Toole said a real highlight of the three-month program will be the heritage tours run by enthusiastic volunteers from the Bathurst Heritage Group.
"Take a step back in time to enjoy the magic and mystery of Machattie Park, walk through the streets and learn what life was like in the Bathurst Town Square or Macquarie's Bathurst 1815-1822 walking tours," Cr Toole said.
"An exciting part of this year's program is the link Bathurst has made with exhibitions focused on Macquarie 2010 celebrations right across NSW.
"I encourage everyone to make the most of the autumn season and take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover more about the colour, culture and communities of the Bathurst region and all they have to offer," he said.
Copies of the Autumn Colours Brochure can be collected at the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre.
