The inheritance roadshow at The Carrington on September 14 will be run as part of Good Will Week.
Experts from the Australian Antique and Art Dealers Association will be on hand for free valuations and a fun lunchtime seminar where you can learn how to work out for yourself just how much your ancient possessions are worth.
There will also be a chance to play the guess the value game, and to meet celebrities from the Variety Children’s Charity.
Dave Curry and Michael Hope are Bathurst’s resident experts on all things vintage, and together they opened The Naked Bud on Keppel Street last December.
The store is a treasure trove of beautiful, unique items, filled with vintage clothes, jewellery and furniture.
Sick of their mundane jobs the pair took the plunge combining their passion for what Curry calls “visually beautiful” items, to open the popular store.
The store was originally built from their own collection, but has continued to grow with items sourced from auctions, deceased estates and donations.
Locals perusing the store have said it brings back memories from their past, resembling a museum that spans eras that are greatly missed. With locals often bringing in items for appraisal, not even Curry and Hope can claim to know exactly how much everything is worth.
The pair hope to attend the local inheritance roadshow.
