This year’s Royal Bathurst Show will host the annual Full Tilt International Jousting Tournament and it’s sure to thrill patrons.
Featuring riders from across the world, including Europe, the United States and New Zealand, the event is bound to provide plenty of the thrills and spills of the joust.
According to Rod Walker, Full Tilt will present a weekend of medieval jousting.
“Forget what you have seen in movies, this is no show, this is the real deal,” he said. “Fully-armoured knights mounted on strong horses competing for the title of tournament champion.
“The armour is real, the lances are real and the hits are real. If they don’t break that lance, they don’t get the points.”
Mr Walker said international jousters from the United States, Jeremy Oneail and Robbie Hubbard, will join local jousters who will be taking on the Americans for the international title as well as the highest-scoring Australian taking out the Australian title.
Full Tilt Jousting will be staged in the main arena today at noon and 7pm and tomorrow at noon before the draw for the Mazda car at 1pm.
