Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver, Jenson Button will fulfil his dream of taking on Australia’s most renowned race track, Mount Panorama nest Tuesday, March 22.
The 2009 FIA Formula One drivers’ world champion will be guided around the circuit by five times Bathurst winner, Craig Lowndes.
Both drivers will pilot their respective cars around the track before swapping seats, with Button behind the wheel of the TeamVodafone V8 Supercar and Lowndes gearing up for his first ever drive in a Formula 1 car. There will also be opportunities for spectators to meet the drivers.
The event will run from 11am to 1pm with entry by gold coin donation.
From 11.21am to 11.39am Button will drive five demonstration laps in his F1 car. Then from 11.44am to 11.54am Lowndes will complete three laps in his Team Vodafone V8 Supercar.
The two drivers will then swap cars and from noon Button will undertake his four-lap demonstration in the V8 Supercar and from 12.22pm Lowndes will do five laps in Button’s F1.
