MONSTER moments were recreated yesterday in Bathurst before the biggest ever line-up of six Monster Trucks perform in a Bathurst Showground spectacular on Saturday night.

Clive Featherby yesterday staged a sneak preview of what Bathurst can expect when he strapped B-Rock personality Ben Hope to the front of a dual-cab to experience the human inferno.
"I crash through walls of fire, it's all part of an easy day at the office," B-Rock Ben said as he removed his brown-smoked sun visor, helmet, gloves and overalls.
"It can be hot work. Going through that fire was pretty hot."
The dare-devil barbecue of B-Rock Ben was witnessed first hand by television and press who Mr Featherby piled into the car to feel the heat smashing through the flaming wall that will be even bigger on Saturday night when more than 100 litres of exploding fuel, pyrotechnics and special effects are used.
The inferno was only part of the preview that stopped traffic passing the Showground about noon yesterday Corey Clarke, from Montana, climbed into the cabin of Raptors Rampage, one of six Monster Trucks to be driven for the first time on the same program in Bathurst. "She looks sedate at the moment," Mr Clarke said as he strapped himself into a back brace and kidney protector and put his helmet on. "But Raptor can be as wild as I want and it can really scream loud."
Mr Featherby said he hoped that the $100 cost of taking a family of four to see the Monster Tour of Destruction was within the range of most Bathurst people who enjoy a once in a lifetime night out. "We've got trucks worth hundreds of thousands of dollars performing in Bathurst as the finale of the tour," he said. "Bathurst will see six monster trucks on the one program, usually there are three.
"This show also has Corey Clarke in action in Raptors Rampage the new 3D Dino Monster, a top performer from the US who usually performs with the Gravediggers' tour.
