the NSW Variety Club Bash for the 22nd
consecutive year running.
The crew, John Lindsell, Stephen Lindsell
and John Curley, set off on Sunday, August 22
from the B shed at Sydney Markets.
They will travel to Temora, Cobar, Bourke, Moree, Goondiwindi, Toowoomba and Lismore, before finishing in Byron Bay.
The event, which has been running since 1985, is the focal point of the Variety children’s charity fundraising efforts.
The bash is not a race or a rally, but more importantly allows people to see more of Australia while raising money for a worthy cause.
All vehicles involved in the Bash must have been made prior to or during 1974 and the stranger the decorations the better.
The Bash is one of Australia’s most successful charity motoring events, contributing to the $13 million raised by Variety in Australia last year.
The money raised helps ill, special needs and disadvantaged children, along with hospitals, schools, community groups and other charities.
The Chiko team would like to thank their major sponsor Simplot, and local sponsors Bathurst Panthers, country energy, Bathurst district prostate support group, Turnbull electrical, Peter Rogers real Estate and Stockland.
