Led by division one, who claimed a big 4-1 win over Forbes, the Bathurst teams were in rare form, and enjoyed their biggest win in division two thanks to a 5-0 shut-out against Ex-Services.
Playing in Dubbo, Bathurst went into the top grade clash with Forbes with a side that featured captain Paul Bright, Phil Campbell, Luke Ellis, Jarryd Bird and Darrell Bourke.
Bourke was the only player to miss out on victory, and even he went close in his match against James Grierson before losing 2 and 1.
Bright led the way, defeating Forbes top-seed Steve Betland 5 and 4, and his effort was matched by Ellis, who defeated Shane Sallaway 2 and 1, while Bird defeated Mark Collits 4 and 3 and Campbell took care of Andrew Grierson by the same margin.
It leaves Bathurst well out in front in first division, leading Dubbo by 1.3 points in total.
In second division at Bathurst, Phil Stephens, Ben Matheson, Brad Glawson, Warren Matthews and Brian Walsh all registered wins, the biggest of which came from Walsh who defeated Brendan Bretnauer 7 and 6.
The result gives Bathurst the lead in division two also where, like the top-graders, they have only missed out on a possible 0.2 points this season.
They currently lead Forbes 2.8 to 1.6.
Third division was contested at Wentworth where Bathurst were looking for their first win of the season as they went head to head with Forbes.
The team consisting of Andrew Hicks, Russell McCarthy, Peter Wray, Manuel Pro and Arthur Clancy came away with a narrow 3-2 victory, with McCarthy and Wray both scraping home by a single hole in their matches while Clancy lost by the same margin.
The win puts Bathurst into equal fourth with Ex-Services on 1.5, with Wentworth currently leading on 2.8.
Fourth division travelled to Mudgee and picked up a valuable win against the home side, getting up 3-2.
Kel Price, Neville Jones and Terry Staines all enjoyed victories while Mudgee salvaged back 0.2 points with wins over Mitchell Bestwick and Nick Winterton.
Bathurst lead fourth division narrowly ahead of Dubbo with the two to go head to head in Dubbo this weekend in round three.
First division head to Wellington to take on the hosts, with second division playing Mudgee in Blayney, and thirds playing Wentworth at Ex-Services.
