Not only did Saturday see Murray-Leslie pick up a trophy for having her stable star Moment of Clarity claim Golden West Race Club Horse of the Year honours, but she had So Light shed his maiden status, Grand Song run a solid second and Pull Up Your Socks only missing out on a placing after a protest.

20 Dec 09 | HE’S small, he hates hard tracks and is currently in the paddock as part of a three-month spell, but rivals beware as the 2009 Golden West Race Club’s Horse of the Year Moment of Clarity will be targeting the 2010 Bathurst Cup. Trainer Sarah Murray-Leslie revealed her intentions on Saturday as she was presented with Moment of Clarity’s trophy, the talent of her six-year-old having her excited at the very thought of another campaign.

16 Dec 09 | She has become an institution in the Bathurst racing industry and now Gayna Williams is expanding her operation to include a stable at a property between Grafton and Casino in the North of NSW. However, it doesn’t spell the end of her association with Bathurst – Williams and her husband Frank will split their time between the two stables.

01 Oct 09 | BATHURST jockey Ben Hill has been suspended for nine months after he returned a positive drug sample after a race meeting at Tyers Park in late August. Hill submitted a urine sample during the Golden West Race Club’s TAB meeting on August 31 where he had four rides that returned traces of the prohibited drug cannabis.
