The series tours Australia over the next two months, concluding with the Australian National Finals on July 9.
Joining Allen in the side are Queenslanders Shane “Mad Dog” Simpson and Darryl Chong.
The trio will take on the crucial role of distracting bulls so riders who have fallen can get to safety.
Allen has a strong reputation behind him as a three-time defending PBR Australia bullfighting champion, while Simpson is the team member with the most international experience, having worked extensively on the PBR Built Ford Tough Series in the United States and fighting bulls at PBR World Finals.
Chong is considered the rookie of the team. He is making his second appearance on the lucrative PBR Australian Cup Series Tour but also has plenty of ability.
PBR Australia president and former PBR World Champion Troy Dunn is very happy with the trio named and said they were held in high regard.
“Bullfighters are some of the toughest, yet most considerate athletes in the sport,” he explained.
“These guys put their personal safety aside to step in and distract bulls from the fallen riders. They’ll take a shot from a bull rather than let the animal have a chance of reaching the rider.
“Two of these guys have a lot
of experience and cool heads,
whilst Chongy who, despite his youth, has been around bulls his whole life.”
Allen is widely recognised as one of the nice guys in Australian bull riding. He started out as a rider but his decision to concentrate on fighting eight years ago has been rewarded with three consecutive titles, starting in 2008.
The 36-year-old uses a combination of speed, agility and thinking to evade the bulls and he and his co-workers will be protecting some of the leading bull riders in the world as they take on aggressive Australian bulls.
The tour starts in Sydney on June 4, and continues in Brisbane, Townsville and Newcastle, before the final in Melbourne on July 9.
