Blayney Rugby League Club was re-established at a well-attended meeting last week, with the goal of fielding a senior team in Group 10 the focus of the newly-formed committee , a goal that was announced formally to Sunday’s Group 10 annual general meeting.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[BATHURST has paid the price for losing the President’s Cup trophy two weeks ago after having just two players selected to try out for the Western Zone side in Dubbo this weekend.
With the traditional Western Zone carnival abandoned this season, rather than picking sides from Mitchell, Lachlan and Macquarie to play off against one another, 24 players have been selected to compete in two ‘possibles vs probables’ matches in Dubbo.]]></description>

Both Daphne North and Heather Rosconi have devoted countless hours of their free time to the club and those involved with it, and at May’s annual general meeting it was unanimously decided to give both the highest recognition possible.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[A MAN accused of the stabbing murder of another man last year at Kelso said he had acted in self defence, a Supreme Court hearing was told yesterday.
The statement was attributed to Ronnie Phillip Charles Lovett, 22, within hours of him being arrested over the alleged stabbing of George Asprogiannis [also known as Trindall], 27, in Bannerman Crescent on August 10, 2008.]]></description>

Research by the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research examined the effect of the government’s restrictions on the 48 most violent licensed premises, which began in December 2008.]]></description>

The visit will be Kevin Rudd’s first to Bathurst as prime minister. He was last here as opposition leader in July 2007.
Mayor Paul Toole said it was an honour to host a prime minister because it gave local community leaders the chance to put forward issues on behalf of the people they serve.]]></description>
