The event, on November 23, will be a night of entertainment and a tribute to the inspirational players of the past, as well as a chance for today’s gladiators to learn about the greats of yesteryear.
League attendees will include Men of League vice president Jim Hall, former internationals Paul Dunn and Darren Britt, former Balmain, Easts and Penrith star Dennis Tutty, as well as local favourites Billy Hilton and Johnny Baker.
John ‘Bomber’ Peard and Leo Toohey will also provide entertainment at the event.
In keeping with the Men of League’s creed of helping players in need, they will be holding a raffle at the dinner for Christopher Toole, a coach and former Bathurst Bulldogs and St Pat’s player, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Panthers MOL dinner will start between 6.30pm and 7pm. Tickets are $30 each and can be reserved by calling 6330 0600.
There are only 180 seats, so organisers recommend getting in early if you would like to attend.
Reservations must be made by Tuesday for catering purposes.
The Men of League will also be holding an event in Oberon on November 24.
The Oberon Golf Club will host a barbecue lunch starting at 11am, and a shotgun golf start at noon. Golf carts will also be available for hire for $35.
Later that day, the Tigers Clubhouse in Oberon will host a Men Of League smorgasbord dinner.
For the full day outing (lunch, golf, dinner), tickets are $90 each, or $50 each for dinner only.
Call Red Zamparini on 0418 663 398 by November 22 to make a booking for the Oberon event.
