A man has been arrested following an alleged murder at a unit block in Rocket Street this morning.

Police were called to a disturbance about 8.30am to find a 49-year-old man who had sustained a number of wounds.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, but died at the scene.
A short time later, police arrested a 40-year-old man nearby.
He was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
