The accused man sat in the dock with his eyes closed and head slightly down as Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Beau Riley read the murder charge before the accused and Registrar of the Court, Mr Hindmarsh.
Sergeant Riley told the court police opposed bail.
Shane Cunningham, who was acting on behalf of the accused said there was no application for bail by his client and asked the matter be adjourned to Bathurst Local Court on Monday, March 11, 2013.
Mr Hindmarsh noted police had earlier refused bail, and there was a presumption against it.
He also noted murder was a serious offence punishable by life imprisonment, and no application had been made for bail by the accused.
He formally refused bail and adjourned the matter to Bathurst Local Court on Monday, March 11, 2013.
