A SEVERE thunderstorm warning that was issued for parts of New South Wales this morning, no longer applies for the Central West.

Earlier today the Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for severe thunderstorms likely to produce large hailstones, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and damaging winds.
The warning listed Orange, Dubbo, Bathurst, Mudgee and Lightning Ridge as locations which could be affected by the storms.
The severe thunderstorm warning now only applies for the Mid North Coast, the Hunter, the North West Slopes and Plains and the Northern Tablelands.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should
* Move their car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around their house, yard and balcony.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Not walk, ride their bike or drive through flood water.
* If trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Unplug computers and appliances.
* Avoid using the phone during the storm.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets indoors as well.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
