Before midday today Parkes has recorded 22 millimetres of rain, Orange recorded 20.8 millimetres, Dubbo received 20 millimetres and Forbes recorded 16.6 millimetres.
Rainfall was lighter in Mudgee and Bathurst before 9am, but Mudgee had recorded a total of 13.4mm and Bathurst a total of 11.4mm by midday.
The heavy rain this month has already seen an above average June rainfall recorded across the Central West.
Parkes has already recorded 125.8mm of rain, more than doubling its June average of 49.1 mm and breaking the monthly record of 121.1mm which was set in 1945.
Forbes has also received double its average June rainfall of 46.8mm, recording a monthly total of 108mm of rain and breaking its monthly rainfall record of 81.4mm set in 2005.
While Dubbo has already received 75.2mm of rain this month and looks set to double its June average of 46.6mm.
Above average rainfall has also been recorded in Orange, Bathurst, Mudgee and Cowra.
While thunderstorms are expected this afternoon, the rain is expected to clear throughout the rest of the week.
Possible showers are expected for Thursday and Friday and the weekend is expected to be mostly sunny, with a bit of morning frost.
