Organisers Debbie Campbell and Haylie Mammoliti said this year’s event was the biggest ever held.
Ms Campbell said it was the first time in the event’s history every stall site was booked, with 70 exhibitors attending.
“It’s always very full, but this year it was a total sell out,” she said.
This year’s event had everything from photographers, fashion parades, wedding dresses, cakes and florists to make-up artists and invitation designers.
“There are some great new ideas this year,” Ms Campbell said, making note of Lollypotz Chocolate Bouquets, which creates wedding centrepieces and bridal bouquets from chocolates!
She said a Hummer, brought up from Sydney, had created a lot of interest from people coming through the doors.
Ms Campbell said yesterday’s bridal fair was an overwhelming success, putting it down to the quality of exhibitors on the day.
“Imagine how long it would take people to go and see all of this if it wasn’t under the one roof,” she said.
She said an added benefit was the fact people could see firsthand what’s on offer.
“With things like flowers and cakes, usually all a bride can look at are pictures. But here, they can come and see everything firsthand,” she said.
Mandi Blewett and Renee Ferry from Customised Event Stationery, said they were run off their feet.
“We’ve been talking to people about what they want in their wedding invitations, going through colour schemes, themes and designs,” Ms Blewett said.
Mary Kay beauty consultant Varni-Maree Bennett said the best thing about the expo was everything being in one place.
