THE CONTENDERS:
Julian Larsen - Cowra Eagles
Larsen is one of the bigger fly-halfs in the competition.
Because of this, he is powerful and can take on the line.
To add to his skills, Larsen has a great kick, both in general play and for goal.
Mahe Fangupo - Parkes Boars
The Parkes fly-half is a physical and strong player.
He’s able to take a lot of people to ground thanks to his strength.
He has previously captained the Tongan under 20s team and he shows off these international skills on the field.
Fangupo is the sort of player who can change the course of a game.
Ted Bates - Dubbo Kangaroos
The first thing you’ll probably notice about Bates is his speed.
If you can catch up with him you’ll also notice his first-class skills in the pivot position.
Bates reads the game well and is vocal on the field.
Steve Locke - Bathurst Bulldogs
Locke’s wealth of experience makes him the perfect person to be part of the Bulldogs’ leadership group.
He was a Central West representative in 2010 and has previously played first grade Shute Shield for Manly.
Locke’s vision and ball-playing guides the Bulldogs around the park.
Michael Sparks - Orange City Lions
The Orange City captain leads by example, stepping up when his team needs him to.
Sparks is able to deliver a slick attacking play but is just as comfortable making the big tackles.
He is a fantastic link between the forwards and backs and his talk on the field keeps his team focused.
