From rides to live entertainment, face painting to market stalls, this year’s fair had something for everyone.
Susan Burns from High Valley Wine and Cheese in Mudgee said she was very happy with her first trip to the fair.
“We’ve found it really good, there’s a lot of people, a really good crowd has turned out so it’s been great,” she said.
“We’ve done a lot of tasting and a lot of people have taken brochures, we supply to the local country fruit, so it’s been good for us to get out here today.”
Ms Burns said there had been a steady flow of people passing through the fair since it opened at 10am.
“There’s been people going past all day, I think the crowd has exceeded their expectations of 3000, it’s been really good,” she said.
She said she had been busy people watching and seen a good mix of locals and race visitors.
“We’ve been asking people where are they from, we’ve had a few from interstate but a lot of them have been locals, there’s been a good mix of people, I definitely think it’s been a success.”
Bathurst resident Kay Gibbs who attended the event with her granddaughter Georgie and her school friend Annie White said the street fair had been quiet enjoyable.
“We’ve had a wander around and had a look at everything. We really enjoyed the flash dance, it’s been good,” she said.
“We’ve been around all of the stalls, there’s a good variety and have enjoyed watching all the people,” she said.
Ms Gibbs said it was important to have off track events that locals could attend.
“Not everybody goes up to the mountain, so it’s good to come down here for the atmosphere,” she said.
