The father-of-four was critically injured last week when a concrete boom collapsed on him at a residential building site in Orange.
Since then, the thoughts and prayers of the community have been behind Mr Flowers and his family.
Now, there is a practical way people in Orange can help. Jodie Dukes, who is close to the family, is organising a Flowers Family Trivia Night, to be held on Saturday, November 30, at the Ophir Tavern in Orange.
“Terry’s injuries are horrific and some doctors and surgeons describe them as some they have never seen before,” she said.
“He will be in Westmead Hospital for a while and even though surgeons say they are amazed Terry has survived the crush, they are still trying to figure out how best to fix him.”
Mr Flowers remains in a critical but stable condition.
Ms Dukes described the 49-year-old as a “fun-loving, loyal, ambitious man who loves nothing more than providing for and loving his family with all his heart”.
She said any donations of prizes for the trivia night would be greatly appreciated.
Cost of entry to the trivia night is $30 per person.
