Perhaps best known for her long-running role on iconic Australian police drama Cop Shop, Ms Duncan also heads Paula Duncan Promotions, an event management company that specialises in supporting not-for-profit organisations.
Since it was established in 1975, Paula Duncan Promotions has raised more than $10 million for Australian charities.
Ms Duncan was recognised for her efforts when she was awarded the Order of Australia.
Bathurst Regional Council is organising a number of events to celebrate Australia Day on Sunday, January 26.
The day will again start with the traditional breakfast in Eglinton, followed by a citizenship ceremony in Machattie Park from 9.30am.
The region’s main Australia Day celebration will start in Machattie Park about 10am and include the official ceremony at 11.30am, live music on the stage and entertainment for the children.
Again, there is no village celebration planned at this stage.
