John Phillip Bright, 28, of Wilkins Street in Bathurst, was refused bail after appearing before Bathurst Local Court on Saturday.
He has been charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug and driver never licensed.
He will reappear before Bathurst Local Court on Monday, January 6, 2014.
Acting Inspector Gareth Smith yesterday said Bright was arrested after being pulled over by police at 7.40am on Saturday.
He was pulled over by police as part of Operation James, currently underway in Chifley local area command.
Inspector Smith said police will allege that after pulling Bright over in Rocket Street, they located 4.9 grams of amphetamine and 25.7 grams of methamphetamine in his car.
They subsequently applied for and were granted a search warrant on Bright’s property, where police allege further drugs were located, including amphetamine and cannabis.
Inspector Smith said information given to police at the time of the search warrant took them to a property at Rock Forest on the outskirts of Bathurst where police will further allege they found a pistol, ammunition, money and other prohibited drugs. He said detectives are continuing with their inquiries.
Bright was refused bail by police and attended a bail hearing where he was again refused bail. He is to reappear in court early next year.
Following on from Bright’s arrest, a 42-year-old woman and two men, aged 32 and 48, were arrested on Sunday afternoon charged with robbery in company, aggravated robbery and assault matters, following an alleged incident in Lambert Street.
Sonia Loretta Scott, 42, of Wilkins Street, Brent Paul Peckham, 48, of Griffin Street and Zane Rhett O’Connor, 32, of Stack Street, were all refused bail by Bathurst police and appeared before Bathurst Local Court.
They were again refused bail and will reappear on Monday, January 6, 2014.
