- Sack Records has been launched and tonight's gig will kick off at 6pm, with the gorgeous Armand L'espoir playing his tunes. Head down to Sack Music to secure your spot. Did we mention free beer and pizza?
- Friday Night Jazz: join us for a night of jazz in the ballroom with music performed by Jazz Café featuring the Blue Note Jazz Band. Enjoy modern and classic jazz standards. - Get along to Bathurst Panthers from 6pm for a Cancer Council fundraiser trivia night. Tickets are $15 per person and tables can be in groups of five or 10. There will be snacks, trivia, lucky door prizes, an auction and fun games. The main prize to be auctioned off is a 2014 signed NRL Roosters jersey. - Holy Trinity Church at Kelso is holding their market day. Starting at 9am you will find lots of bargains, tasty treats and a great Kids’ Korner with face painting and crafts. There will also be a garden stall, jewellery, books, chocolate wheel to name a few. Relax at the Trinity cafe or grab some lunch at the barbecue stand. - Bathurst netball will be holding their registration day between 12.30- 3pm at the clubhouse on Durham Street. They would like to welcome players of all skill levels and ages. Players turning five and up can start their netball career with Net-Set-Go skills program. There is a grade suitable for everyone with modified Netta and Junior competitions through to A grade and women's social competitions. - Textures of one: Blayney Art Show: the inaugural Blayney Art Show will be held at the Blayney Shire Community Centre on March 15 and 16. It will be open from 10am till 4pm both Saturday and Sunday. Blayney High School Crafty Sew N Sew, also located at the Community Centre will be open from 10am till 4pm on Saturday with stalls and demonstrations. Blayney Anglican Church are also housing a Book Fair, located in the Anglican Hall, 88 Adelaide Street, Blayney on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. Refreshments will be available at the Blayney Shire Community Centre and will be provided by Can Assist.
- Meet the Stars of the Block! Head down to Mitre 10 and meet Block stars Kyal and Kara on Sunday, March 16 between 11am - 1pm. Grab a sizzling sanger from the Red Cross Bathurst, or enjoy face painting, balloons, and a block challenge. There will also be loads of prizes and giveaways.

- Bathurst Miniature Railway: when the weather is fine, pack a picnic lunch and take the kids down to the miniature railway to enjoy a few rides on working scale model trains just across the road from the Adventure Playground. - To celebrate Multiple Births Awareness week, BXMBA will be hosting a Family Fun day at the Miniature Steam Trains this Sunday. BXMBA offer all multiple birth families free rides from 11am -2 pm. - Here's one for the kids. Imaginary Theatre are bringing their adaptation of Anna and Barbara Fienberg's much-loved children's book series, Tashi, to BMEC. - Terisa at the Seymour Centre will be hosting an Open Day on the Wednesday, starting at 9am. The focus will be on Health Ageing. The day will commence with guest speakers who will cover topics such as healthy eating, exercise and dental health for seniors. - Historical Society Monthly Muster, Thursday 20 March 2014 at 7.30pm. Sandy Bathgate will talk about historic Locksley in the Fish River Valley. Illustrated with pictures, this presentation will look at what is arguably the first locality over the Blue Mountains and described by George Evans, in 1813, on his way to discover Bathurst. Sandy then follows the history of some of the characters over the ensuing 200 years. Entry by gold coin donation. Supper will be provided following the talk.
