- Hockey NSW Development Clinic: Hockey NSW will be holding a development clinic for players under 12 years to develop their skills. This will be held at Bathurst Hockey Centre from noon – 5pm on Wednesday, April 16. The clinic will cost $53 (includes bag and bottle). Nominations close April 11. - Every second Friday of the month Abercrombie House holds an intimate night of Jazz in the Heritage Ballroom. An intimate night of Jazz in the Heritage Ballroom – featuring The Blue Note Jazz Band, some of Bathurst’s best jazz musicians and guest artists, showcasing a repertoire of modern and classic jazz standards. - Unique Wine Experience at 2pm at Crago Mill, 2a Piper Street. Enrich your wine appreciation with a tasting of five consecutive vintages of medal-winning Winburndale Alluvial Chardonnay. Compare each vintage from 2007 to 2011. Entry is FREE.
- Community Planting Day from 9-2pm at Apex Jubilee Reserve: volunteer can lend a helping hand by planting a combination of trees, shrubs and grasses as part of the river restoration efforts on the banks of the mighty Macquarie River. Learn some new skills, reduce your carbon footprint and enjoy the free barbecue lunch.

- Taste the Delights of Delaware: Standing proud at the top of Russell Street is the two storey Victorian residence of Delaware. During autumn, Bathurst District Historical Society invite you into this stately home to enjoy a guided tour conducted by the current owners and taste local wines from Algona at Mount Panorama Estate, accompanied by a selection of cheeses. This beautiful estate is located at 320 Russell Street. The tour starts at 4.30pm and runs until 5.30pm. - At the River 10-3pm: This free community event will promote and support circus, theatre and performing arts experiences for children, teens and their families as The Catapult Festival merges with National Youth Week. The day will involve fun circus and theatre based activities as well as sports, circus and theatrical performances. Flying Trapeze Australia will be offering the public an opportunity to fly on their rig that will be set up on site, for a special festival price. Food and merchandise stalls, small performance areas/stages and installation pieces will be set up around the park. The event will be run between 10am-3pm, and we encourage families to bring a picnic or indulge in the fresh organic produce on offer.
- Grassroots Football Certificate from 9.30am -12pm at Proctor Park Gormans Hill Road: this is a free program and a manual will be provided on the day. The training is aimed at coaches training 5-9 year old players. The 3-hour course is fully practical and encourages the coach to develop practices that are based on fun. The emphasis is on natural development i.e. learning by playing football. - Bowls Day for St Barnabas at Majellan Bowls Club with a rolling start of 10am. A special fundraiser for St Barnabas church. For $10 get a game and a sausage sizzle. There will also be a huge raffle too. For more information call 6331 4711.
- Miniature Railway on this weekend from 11am until 3pm weather permitting. Held at Bathurst Tennis Courts. Cost is $2 per child and enclosed footwear must be worn.
- This Sunday is no ordinary Sunday, it is Palm Sunday. All Saints Cathedral are celebrating with style as they put on a Palm Sunday parade at 9am. They start the festivities on the Carillon steps with the beautiful beast of burden, which of course welcomes pats from the children. The procession represents the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey and being hailed as king. The clergy will all be wearing red so join in and dig out all your red stuff to wear too.
- Central West Bush walking club hit the tracks this weekend at Newnes - Wolgan - Capertee Divide. Starting from the Newnes campground, walk 2km west along Little Capertee Ck, before a steep 250m climb to the north through the cliffs. Visiting the magnificent, awe inspiring slot called the The Altar Room. There are some tricky parts where tapes will be used. Great views of both the Wolgan and Capertee Valleys. - Traditional Passover meal: Sunday at 5pm. A Seder meal is a traditional Jewish meal held during Passover to celebrate God freeing his people from slavery in Egypt. This fabulous feast will be on Sunday 13th April from 5pm in the Walshaw Hall, at a cost of $10/head. Any who wish to come can contact the parish office on 6331 4711 (9am-1pm Mon-Fri).
- Central West Women’s Health Centre Inc are starting their next round of Yoga classes for women commence the week of Monday 14 with Instructor Tracey Carpenter. Classes take place on Mon, Tue, Wed & Thursday. Registration and payment in advance is required. - Bathurst Cycling Club: Road Riding Skills Day for 10-17 year olds. Development Officers Damien Bennett and Marian Renshaw will be hosting their holiday program on Monday 14th April starting off 8.30am. This program will be held at Sulman Park at the top of Mt Panorama.Coaching is provided free of charge by NSW Cycling Federation accredited coaches. - PCYC have rock climbing this Monday morning for your energetic children and indoor sports, arts and crafts in the afternoon. These holiday programs are suitable for children from 5 – 13 years. - Bathurst Art Gallery: The theme for the Waste 2 Art competition this year is electronic waste. BRAG is offering 4 open workshops during the Easter school holidays. Each workshop will be led by one of our workshop presenters and focus on a range construction techniques. BRAG is also providing an assortment of interesting e-waste materials sourced from Reverse Garbage in Sydney. Workshop 1 with Fiona Tuesday, April 15 at 10.30am - 12.30pm. These workshops are for 8 - 17 year olds. We have a limit of 15 places per workshop and each workshop costs $10 per child.

- Imagine Bathurst: Community Forum from 5-6pm Bathurst Regional Library, 70-78 Keppel St, Bathurst. ‘Imagine Bathurst’ is a community consultation that will inform the development of the Bathurst Region Social & Community Plan 2015 ? 2019 and the Bathurst Region Community Safety Plan 2015 ?2019. ‘Imagine Bathurst’ will create a shared vision for the future and identify key opportunities and challenges for the community over the next 5 years. - The Safer Driver Course is a combined theoretical and practical course for learner drivers under 25 years-old who have completed 50 log book driving hours. Upon completion, participants will receive 20 hours of credit in their log book. The cost for the course is $140. - Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum are making Magical Stone: A workshop designed to introduce young students to minerals of the earth and to make their own magical stone to take home. - Bathurst City Library is hosting Easter Egg Crafts from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. Book early as spots are limited to 20. $10 pp for ages 5-10 years. (6yrs and under w a parent). A fun workshop where we will construct mini Easter egg characters and decorate a papier mache egg nest. Use the egg nest to hide away all your chocolate goodies.
- Movie and Lunch for high school aged young carers: bookings close April 15. This event will be held on Tuesday, April 22. Movie title will be advertised one week before the event. End and finish time will be advised one week before the event. The lunch will be held at Duncan’s Bar and Grill, 132 Piper Street, Bathurst and the movie at Metro Cinemas, Bathurst. - Bathurst City Library will be making Easter Bonnets. Starting at 10:30am – 12:00noon with 20 spots limited, $10pp for children from ages: 5-11yrs (6yrs & under w a parent). Decorate your very own Easter Bonnet to wear over the Easter weekend! We will use flowers, crepe paper, ribbons, jewels & paint. How will you make yours stand out? We will be using paint, so wear older clothes to this activity.

- Historical Society Monthly Muster: Chris has re-imaged a day in the life of Bathurst in the 1870s from a series of historical photos, using some factual and some imaged stories and people in Bathurst's history.
