A triple group 1 winner over the mile this season, including Randwick's big spring 1600m race the Epsom. Drawn wide and needs a drying track, but classy and is a value runner.

My Kingdom Of Fife

Import which has returned from 2½ years on the sidelines with a couple of average efforts. Is a Randwick group 1 winner on a heavy track at big odds and capable of a surprise again.

Streama

Twice a group 1 winner over the Randwick mile, including the George Main Stakes in the spring, and was Epsom runner-up. Has been close up in her two runs at weight-for-age and gets in well at the handicaps. Each-way.

Sacred Falls

Won this race last year on a bog and has strong wet-track references. Drops 2½ kilos from weight-for-age fourths in the Canterbury Stakes and George Ryder Stakes. Should be in the finish.

Hawkspur

A four-year-old which possesses a dynamic turn of foot and has won two from three on slow tracks with the other one being a second. Got home well for third in Boban's Chipping Norton Stakes and looks one of the top hopes here.

Toydini

Very good miler which was third in the Epsom and won the Crystal Mile in the spring. He has not been suited at weight-for-age at past couple but was strong to the line in the George Ryder. Well drawn and should be in the firing line.

Speediness

Underrated six-year-old from a small stable, and has placings in the Emirates and George Ryder stakes this season. Looked the winner in the Ryder before being swamped by Gordon Lord Byron late. Damien Oliver in the saddle. Rates highly.

Mouro

He has struggled to measure up to the top level and appears weighted up to his best. Won three on end in lower grades before beating only two home in the Ajax Stakes. Place claims at best.

Royal Descent

Classy mare which won the Australian Oaks on bottomless ground by 10 lengths last year. Her two runs have been perfect preparation for this race. She was the best from back in the field in the leader-dominated Coolmore Classic, coming from last to run fifth. Don't leave her out.

Monton

Workmanlike seven-year-old that has won three of his past six. Finished midfield in the Chipping Norton Stakes and Ajax Stakes, and that is probably where he will finish in this race.

Dear Demi

She has strong spring form, being placed in the Caulfield Cup and runner-up in the Mackinnon Stakes. Returned with a good third in the Wiggle Stakes and then was never sighted in the Coolmore Classic. Group 1 placed three times at a mile, twice at Randwick. Knockout hope.

Fat Al

Won an Epsom a couple of years back then lost form but appears to be back on track. Won the Golden Mile before wide and disappointing in the George Ryder Stakes. Won three from four at Randwick but hard to see him adding to that record here.

Slow Pace

French import which is a group 3 winner over 2000m at Longchamp. He charged late for third in the Newcastle Newmarket Handicap in only Australian run. Handles the wet and Joao Moreira takes the ride, but he will need his magic from the outside gate.

Hana's Goal

Japanese mare that is looking to get her group 1 in Australia. Never got a crack at them in the Coolmore Classic after missing the start. Group 3 mile winner in Japan. Take on trust.

Lidari

Won the Blamey Stakes over the Flemington 1600m before finishing midfield in the George Ryder Stakes, but drops seven kilos from that effort. There is a doubt on his class.

Dissident

Tough three-year-old which was fourth in the Caulfield Guineas and then won the Randwick Guineas over this course a month ago. Gets in on the minimum and capable of sitting on the speed and being hard to pass.

Messene

Emerging star which has been well placed to get in on the minimum. He has won his past seven on end, including an easy win in the Ajax Stakes. A worthy favourite despite the wide draw. The one to beat.

El Roca

New Zealand three-year-old which has only missed a place once in his eight starts when he had no luck running fifth in the Caulfield Guineas. Rosehill Guineas runner-up and third in the George Ryder Stakes, but a question mark over him running a strong mile.

Weary

He was considered good enough to race in group 1 company in England as a two-year-old and hasn't missed a place since joining the Chris Waller yard. He capped his preparation by winning the Doncaster Prelude last week. Classy but this is his test.

Ninth Legion

He has targeted this race since winning his place in it in the Villiers Stakes in December. Hit the line well in the Liverpool City Cup for third and got a pass mark for his George Ryder Stakes eighth. Well drawn and trained to the minute by in-form stable.

Malavio

He has been thereabouts in the Ajax Stakes and Doncaster Prelude without threatening. This is another step up and hard to see him figuring if he gets a run.

Gypsy Diamond

Three-year-old filly which has been in good form in the autumn without winning. Could run a cheeky race at odds if she gets a run.
