The PCYC now has a new torso man, speed ball on a stand, floor to ceiling bags and boxing pads, which will all be used as part of the PCYC’s junior boxing program.
PCYC manager Shelley Hanrahan said the equipment was a fantastic addition to the PCYC’s boxing program.
“Junior boxing is really ramping up at the moment, so it’s great to receive these,” she said.
Ms Hanrahan thanked Bakers Delight for the donation, saying the business was a staunch supporter of the PCYC and its programs.
“Bakers Delight is a fantastic supporter when we have fundraising barbecues. They are always donating buns to help out. They are very big contributors,” she said.
Bakers Delight owner Graham Searle said the donation was made in partnership with Matt Lowe, and he was very happy to support such a worthwhile community organisation.
“The PCYC is great when it comes to helping young kids. The work they do with young people is amazing,” he said.
“We are just happy to be able to be giving something back to the community.”
Mr Searle said Bakers Delight has a proud tradition of getting involved and helping out various community organisations, and they are about to start their next project, selling pink finger buns to raise money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
“We also sponsor the Bushrangers, help out at St Phil’s school and donated 2500 buns to the Blayney 2 Bathurst,” he said.
“It’s great to give back to the community.”
