THERE will be frocks, fascinators and plenty to keep the crowds entertained at the Soldier’s Saddle Race Day tomorrow.
This year’s Anzac Day races at Tyers Park are expected to attract a bumper crowd, with thousands of people expected to turn out to see all the on and off-track action.
A highlight of the day will be the Fashions on the Field competition, which has some fantastic prizes on offer for both men and women.
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing general manager Michelle Tarpenning encouraged people to come along in their finest on the day.
“We have had overwhelming support from local businesses for Fashions on the Field,” she said.
Throughout the day the crowds will also be entertained with music from Mickey Pye, Kaylee Bell and Bianca Video Disco.
“We are lucky to have such great talent in the Central West and to have them perform on Anzac Day at Tyers Park,” Ms Tarpenning said.
Gates for the event will be open from 11am. Entertainment begins at 11.30am and the first of the seven races will kick off at 1.25pm.
A courtesy bus will run between Tyers Park and the RSL between 11.30am and 3.30pm. It will then run to and from the Kings Hotel between 4.30pm and when gates close at 7pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate or at btracing.com.au.
