Thousands of people are expected to turn out at Tyers Park for the Anzac Day race meeting, which will feature seven races and plenty of off-track entertainment.
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing general manager Michelle Tarpenning said the long weekend, combined with the beautiful weather, should see more than 4000 people attend the event.
"Judging by the presale of general and VIP tickets, we are expecting a bumper crowd," she said.
Ms Tarpenning said that the Soldier's Saddle Race Day was always one of the biggest days on the Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing's annual calendar.
"It's one of those iconic Bathurst events. People often get dressed up and go to an Anzac service in town, then go to the RSL and get the courtesy bus up to the races," she said.
She said this year's event promised to be quite exceptional with record nominations and strong backing from race-goers.
Ms Tarpenning said there would also be plenty of off-track entertainment, with performances by Mickey Pye, Kaylee Bell and Bianca Video Disco.
She said Fashions on the Field would also be another highlight of the day.
"Everyone always gets so dressed up and it's fantastic to see people all come along with their hats and fascinators."
She said that the competition had received overwhelming support from local businesses.
"Fashions on the Field has some great prizes on offer and is such a crowd pleaser. Everyone just loves to see the men and women who are beautifully dressed up on stage," she said.
Ms Tarpenning said a minute's silence and flag-raising would take place at the start of the event.
She added that games of Two-up would be played throughout the day, with proceeds being donated to Legacy.
Gates for the Soldier's Saddle will be open at 11am. Entertainment will kick off at 11.30am and the first of the seven races at 1.25pm. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
