A H & P president Paula Elbourne said it was exciting to see entries roll in. The show will be held on May 2, 3 and 4.
Ms Elbourne said judging of pavilion exhibits would begin on Thursday.
She said there was a huge number of entries this year and a full pavilion was guaranteed.
A highlight will be the backdrop made from district wool which will this year honour the RFS. The backdrop will be transferred from the Royal Easter Show and re-assembled in Bathurst the night before the show opens to the public on Friday.
Volunteers are also getting ready to stage the various livestock competitions.
Ms Elbourne said there have also been bumper entries for the horse events.
This year, two judges will be travelling from the United Kingdom.
The agricultural show will also be filled to the brim with commercial exhibits.
Ms Elbourne said one of the high points at this year’s Royal Bathurst Show would be the attendance on Friday of school children from across the region.
This will form part of the education program which was introduced this year for the first time.
“We really got off to a great start,” Ms Elbourne said.
The Junior Stewards program is also proving hugely successful.
In addition, it was great to have 10 girls vying for the title of Miss Royal Bathurst Showgirl this year, Ms Elbourne said.
The prestigious event was won by Abby Crumpler, with Kate Fotheringham named runner-up.
The young women will have a big presence across the three days of the event.
As always, one of the highlights will be the fireworks displays held on Friday and Saturday nights.
Saturday’s spectacular display will take the form of a pyromusical – fireworks set to music. It is guaranteed to be a huge hit with the crowd.
Sideshow alley will also be back, along with jousting, Team D-Max, and Showtime FMX in the main arena.
This year Bathurst will also host a country favourite – the NSW Yard Dog Trials.
“It is going to be a fantastic show,” Ms Elbourne said.
“We are hoping for a really big crowd.”
Ms Elbourne said it would not be possible to run the show without the support of all the incredible people who volunteer their time.
“If anyone else is able to help out, we will welcome them with open arms,” Ms Elbourne said.
