Anticipation is building as the countdown to Bathurst’s Winter Winery Wander begins.

Tickets to the popular annual event sold out within a week of going on sale, and now participants can’t wait for the day of feasting and drinking.

While menus for the day are a closely-guarded secret, spokesperson Greg Tucker, of host company Panorama Cruise and Travel, said the menus that have been selected are very exciting.

Mr Tucker said the high quality of food, wine, spirits and beer in the region will ensure the 8th annual Winter Winery Wander is jam-packed with taste sensations.

This year, Winburndale Wines will pair up with Legall Patisserie, Stone Pine Distillery will join Restaurant 9inety 2wo, Vale Creek Wines will join forces with The Old Mill Cafe from Millthorpe, Renzaglia Wines and Algona, Mount Panorama will pair up, and the Beekeeper’s Inn and 1859 Brewing will make another great team.

Each of the five buses in the Wander will visit four of the venues.

Wanderers meet at the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre at 9.30am on Sunday, June 15, ready for a full day of fun and frivolity.

Mr Tucker said there will be an entree stop at the first venue, then two small main courses at the next two stops and a final dessert course late in the afternoon.

Guests will be served a matching beverage at each venue. They will then have the opportunity to taste other wines, beers and spirits and even purchase some to take home.

Mr Tucker said those taking part in the Winter Winery Wander should make sure someone drops them off and is available to come and pick them up at the end of the day.

He said this year there will be quite a few guests from Sydney, some from Orange and even the Central Coast will be represented, however, the majority will be local.

One group from Sydney has been travelling to Bathurst for the Wander ince it began.

Mr Tucker said the Winter Winery Wander also provides locals with an opportunity to see parts of the region they might not have visited.
