Following recent inquiries into alleged drug activity in the region, police executed two search warrants in Bathurst just before 9pm.

At a home on Green Street at West Bathurst police found and seized an amount of drugs, believed to be heroin and methamphetamine, and a sum of cash.

Two women, aged 57 and 62, were spoken to at the home and are expected to be issued court attendance notices.

Both will appear at Bathurst Local Court on a date to be set.

During a search of a home on Lyal Street at Gormans Hill, police located and seized a shotgun, ammunition, a slingshot and two samurai swords.

An amount of cannabis was also seized.

No one was home at the time and inquiries are continuing.
