The roundabout where Bradwardine Road and Suttor Street meet was always an accident waiting to happen, according to two West Bathurst residents.
Lachlan Sullivan and Tim Gibb spoke out about their concerns following a crash between a sedan and four-wheel drive at the intersection on Monday.
The four-wheel drive landed on its roof, but neither driver was badly hurt.
Since the Bradwardine Road extension from the Mitchell Highway to Suttor Street opened in December 2011, many motorists have been seen speeding through the roundabout at Suttor Street, according to Mr Sullivan.
Mr Gibb said stop signs or traffic lights should be installed and the roundabout removed.
Do you think the roundabout should be replaced with stops signs or traffic lights?

Police have urged Bathurst residents to lock their cars and keep valuables out of sight as cases of theft of items from vehicles are almost a daily occurrence.
In the 12 months to March 31, 2014, there were 305 reported cases of theft from motor vehicles across Bathurst, according to the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR).
Chifley Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Ross Hunt said he is “astounded” people continue to leave cars unlocked and valuables on show.
“[People leave] electronic equipment like computers and phones, even coins – a bunch of dollar coins is enough for some people to break in,” he said.
Inspector Hunt said theft from motor vehicles is predominantly an opportunistic crime and often happens when people have only left their car for a few minutes to run into a shop or pay for petrol.
While the rate of theft from a motor vehicle in Bathurst is high, it is even higher in Orange and Dubbo. There were 400 cases in Orange in the past 12 months and 716 in Dubbo.
