A vehicle that had not been registered since October 2010 proved the undoing of a 22-year-old Bathurst man who appeared in Bathurst Local Court on Monday.

Areley James Piper, of Middlemiss Place, Windradyne was charged with driving while his licence was suspended and using an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
Piper came under police notice between 7.15pm and 7.40pm on June 5 at Windradyne.
Police were conducting a patrol of the area when they pulled Piper over and found his licence was suspended from May 14 until August 13 and the vehicle he was driving had not been registered since October 19, 2010.
For driving while his licence was suspended, Piper was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for the automatic period. He was fined $300 for driving an unregistered vehicle, and a further $300 for driving an uninsured vehicle.
