Police uncovered weapons and ammunition when they stopped a car in Kelso in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Officers from Chifley Local Area Command stopped a blue Holden Commodore in Bonner Street, Kelso at 12.30am.
They spoke to the 33-year-old male driver, and a licence check revealed he was disqualified from driving.
Police searched the car and found a .22 calibre rifle and ammunition, a sling shot, knives and a samurai sword.
The man was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing ammunition and driving while disqualified.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear in Bathurst Local Court on August 25. The weapons and ammunition were seized by police.
