Unfortunately the biggest news to come out of the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow for Australia overnight is the arrest of an athlete.
A member of the Australian team has been detained by police over an alleged altercation at the athletes' village in Glasgow early on Wednesday morning.
On a brighter note Australia's Kim Mickle won gold in the women's javelin with a Games record throw of 65.96 metres.
You can find out more about how our country's athletes fared in overnight action here.

THE Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will be checking that local government bodies pass on savings made from the repeal of the carbon tax.
The consumer watchdog will check all entities, including airlines, energy companies and local government, to ensure that their prices drop now that the impost is gone. However, Bathurst Regional Council’s general manager David Sherley yesterday said he could not comment on whether council rates would decrease as a result of the carbon tax repeal.
“Our rate increases are set by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART),” he said.
“The allowable increase in rates is set by IPART and takes into account the cost of providing services.
“It would be envisioned that if there is any decrease in energy costs that will be taken into account by IPART and a recommendation will be made to reduce rates.”
Mr Sherley said before the carbon tax was introduced rates had risen in line with IPART’s carbon price advance.

Three people have been injured after a car crashed and rolled in the Blue Mountains this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Martin Place and Chapman Avenue at Linden after a sedan hit an embankment and rolled on its side about 2.50am on Thursday.
A woman was thrown from the vehicle while a second woman and a man were trapped in the wreckage.
The man was released after about 20 minutes by officers from the NSW Police Rescue Squad and Fire & Rescue NSW.
The second woman was treated in situ for almost 90 minutes before she, too, was removed.
Both women were airlifted to Westmead Hospital by the NSW Ambulance helicopter; the man was also taken to Westmead Hospital but by road ambulance.
The Great Western Highway was closed temporarily while the rescue helicopter landed at a truck lay-by at Faulconbridge.
It’s believed the three injured are aged in their late teens or early 20s.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are now inquiring into the cause.
