The event is being held at Sydney Olympic Park with the aim of providing Sydneysiders with employment, real estate, education and lifestyle opportunities in regional NSW.
This year the expo has expanded to include destination profiling to encourage relocation.
And Bathurst Regional Council’s message is simple: The region is the best place to live, work and play.
In conjunction with the Western Advocate, a special eight-page liftout has been compiled for the event in today’s newspaper.
There will also be copies at the council stand at the expo. As well, anyone registering an interest in the Bathurst region will receive a pack extolling the region’s virtues.
Mayor Gary Rush says the expo attracts exhibitors from local government, education, business and state government departments.
“With many regional councils in attendance this allows Sydneysiders to ‘Walk NSW in a Day’, experiencing the tastes, sounds and offers from the country and regional businesses, communities and organisations represented at the expo,” he said.
The mayor said that whether you’re looking to make a “city change”, start a new business or simply need a relaxing holiday, the Bathurst region has something to offer everyone.
“As Australia’s oldest European inland settlement, Bathurst is full of character and offers a diverse range of attractions and activities,” he said.
“Historic sites and architecture, impressive museums and galleries, the famous Mount Panorama motor racing circuit and the growing food and wine industry all contribute to making the city an appealing destination for visitors.”
The CountryNSW Expo will be held from Friday to Sunday, August 1-3 in exhibition hall 5A (Southee Complex) at the Sydney Show-ground, Sydney Olympic Park.
