WE'RE living longer, we're healthier and more active and the majority of us are continuing to live independently and contribute to the economy and society well into our third act.
To assist older Australians to live independently and stay active doing the things they love, the National Roads & Motorists' Association (NRMA) has launched their Living Well Navigator website.
Living Well Navigator is an online resource and social community that will help people steer their way to a healthier, happy life.

The NRMA is in Bathurst today to host a series of free community workshops and launch the Living Well Navigator.
Members of the local community are invited to join NRMA Director Graham Blight for a series of free workshops and to learn about the initiative.

A pilot flying between Bankstown and Cowra had to make an emergency landing in a paddock on Monday afternoon after he became involved in an incident with an 82-year-old passenger.
Police say the pilot was forced to restrain the passenger. Sources say a brawl broke out between the two men when the passenger tried to take control of the Beech 76 fixed-wing aircraft.
It is believed the 23-year-old pilot was an employee of Basair Aviation College in Bankstown. The men did not appear to know each other before the flight, a police spokesman said.

Ian and Bev Glen and their two children Charlotte, 10, and Lewis, 12, simply thought a large plastic bag had been dumped along the fence near their Gormans Hill Road home.
A "POLICY averse" Bathurst Regional Council is lacking real leadership, says outspoken Councillor Jess Jennings.
