TWO men have been hospitalised after a plane made an emergency landing in Oberon on Monday afternoon.
The 83-year-old male passenger involved will be flown by air ambulance to Sydney's Westmead Hospital with head, facial and eye injuries.
While the 23-year-old male pilot received an injury to his left knee and will be transported by road ambulance to Oberon Hospital.
EARLIER:
POLICE and emergency services are on the scene after a plane made an emergency landing in a field near Oberon.
Initial reports indicate the pilot and one passenger were on board the plane when it made the emergency landing.
It is understood the pilot managed to free themselves from the plane while emergency services took the second passenger from the plane and began treating unspecified injuries.
The plane landed on a property known as Bloomfield on Titania Road, Oberon at 3.20pm.
The reason for the emergency landing is not yet known.
