THIS Bathurst Edgell Jog team is all about good living, and just a little bit of healthy competition.

The John Matthews and Co Pharmacy team are back for another year in the fun, family jog around Bathurst on Sunday, September 7.

Owner Hannah Heiner said she is looking forward to the event.

“We’ve been running for a number of years,” she said.

“It’s to support a great community event and it’s important to be out there with the community.”

Mrs Heiner said the jog is also great for “team building” and there is already chatter in the pharmacy about who will come first.

“It’s good competition between the older and younger staff,” she said.

Mrs Heiner said she and her husband, and pharmacy co-owner, Marcus Heiner are keen to run the best times in their team.

The team will not be hard to miss: team members will wear a t-shirt that has “Have you got the runs?” emblazoned across the back.

Around 1500 runners, walkers and joggers are expected to take on the 7.5-kilometre circuit.

Edgell Jog committee member Jim Hallahan wants people new to the jog to have a go.

“If you want to walk it, you can walk it ... bring your kids and come and have fun,” he said.

Paper and online entries received before 5pm on Friday, September 5 will go in the draw for the Breakfree Accounting and Taxation $300 early bird prize.
