There is great excitement surrounding this year's Edgell Jog which will take place in Bathurst on Sunday. However, motorists do need to remember that a number of roads in Bathurst will be closed during the event.
The 39th annual Bathurst Edgell Jog will get underway at 10.30am in front of Bathurst Courthouse. Last year 1500 people ran, jogged or walked around the 7.5km circuit.
Let's hope for brilliant sunshine for this terrific local event.

POLICE have named 72-year-old Guy Eric Hasting as the victim in Sunday’s fatal car accident north of Bathurst.
Chifley Local Area Command Inspector Colin Cracknell said Mr Hasting was travelling north on Turondale Road, near Duramana, when his Toyota Camry left the road and crashed into a tree.
“There’s no evidence to indicate the driver lost control of the vehicle; there are no skid marks,” he said. “He was well below the speed limit.”
Police said a motorist came across the car and found the elderly man inside and unresponsive. They removed him from the car and performed CPR until the arrival of paramedics. He died at the scene, however.
“Police are enquiring as to whether he may have had a preexisting medical condition,” Inspector Cracknell said.

Morning, Bathurst. Forget the warm weather for awhile, today we are back to 13 degrees. As expected the day got off to a rainy start and we could experience isolated snow showers above 1200 metres.
Hopefully, just one last blast of winter.
