THE proposed Bathurst Service Centre at Raglan will be discussed at an upcoming council policy committee meeting next month with the public invited.
Raglan residents are up in arms over the $6.5 million development application (DA) for a two-storey, 48-room motel, petrol station, convenience store, seven shops and a 111-unit self storage facility.
Other Western Advocate readers took to the Advocate's Facebook page in support of the development, potential jobs and the centre's role in helping to grow Bathurst into the future.
Council development assessment manager Richard Denyer said the DA had been through the public notification process and a number of submissions had been received.
The public is welcome to present their submissions before the councillors at the policy committee meeting on Wednesday, October 1 at Bathurst council chambers from 6.15pm.
All submissions will be considered as part of the overall DA process.
