Almost 100 stores across the city will have huge discounts on offer for the Western Advocate’s annual Crazy Day on Thursday.
From homewares, fashion and footwear to food, pharmacy and much more, it will be on sale to please the most dedicated of shoppers.
Shop at any of the participating stores and grab a scratch and win card and you’ll be in with the chance to score some great prizes.
Bathurst City Centre features 45 stores that will have amazing Crazy Day bargains across the day, according to centre manager Janelle Matus.
“There will be bargains and discounts and great ideas for Christmas presents,” she said.
“There will be giveaways, face painting, balloons.
“The centre is partnering with the Lions Club to help raise funds for community projects.”
The theme for this year’s Crazy Day is the awesome 1980s, so make sure you keep an eye out for staff wearing fluoro, sporting a mullet or rocking out to your favourite hits from the decade of decadence.
SportsPower has been involved in Crazy Day for the past five years and owner Pip McIntosh said it’s a great opportunity to grab a bargain.
“We slash prices – some shoes were $60 or $70, or even more, and now they’re $20,” he said.
“Some tops have dropped from $60 to $20.”
Some buyers look for Christmas presents and some look for next winter, he said.
“Get in early and have a look – it’s going to be great.”
Scratch and win ticket holders who match three dice need to get their winning ticket to the Western Advocate office at 163 George Street to score one of three cash prizes.
The first winning ticket presented will score $300 cash, second will get $200 and third $100.
All tickets dropped off to the Advocate will go in the second chance draw, where eight $50 cash prizes are up for grabs.
Prizes not redeemed by noon this Friday, September 19 will be redrawn from the second chance draw.
