Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward, as police widen their investigations to find out what occurred.
As a result of the disturbance, a 26-year-old man from Kelso was arrested by police shortly after the incident, and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Acting Superintendent, Luke Rankin, said yesterday he expected charges to be laid in relation to the incident.
