CANTERBURY may be the underdogs in Sunday’s NRL grand final, but one Bathurst family think the Dogs have what it takes to topple an in-form South Sydney – and aren’t afraid to say it.

Brett and Annalea Davies have decorated their Kelso home in blue and white, using everything from flashing lights to flags and inflatable fingers.
Their seven-year-old daughter Millie, who has been a loyal Canterbury fan since she was three, says the Bulldogs will win “because they always win”.
Prepared to put her money where her mouth is, Millie has undergone a special manicure in readiness for the grand final, and is sporting blue and white fingernails.
Mr Davies, who has supported the club since he was a child, said his grandmother lived in the Canterbury Bankstown area and that’s why they supported the team.
“Everyone went for them,” he said.
And after the excitement of his team defeating Penrith last weekend, Mr Davies said the kids got busy in the school holidays and made up Bulldogs posters and got him to put up the lights and flags.
“The kids made the signs. They were pretty excited,” he said.
While acknowledging his team are the underdogs, Mr Davies still believes Canterbury can match the rampaging Rabbitohs in the grand final.
“The difference will be Greg Inglis – he’s brilliant. We will have to contain him during the game,” he said.
“If we can contain him, we have a chance.”
Mr Davies said he and his wife are going down to watch the match live, and simply can’t wait.
“It’s going to be great,” he said.
And if his team is triumphant on Sunday, he plans to leave his house decorated for the next fortnight.
But if they can’t match the Bunnies?
“Then I’ll race home and pull it straight down,” he laughed.
