Along with trade stalls, sheep dog trials and a host of modern farming machinery and equipment, this year the field days are also celebrating Australia’s early days of farming.
Feature exhibitor, Australia’s Living History, will showcase the history of farming, and will take people back to the days of colonisation with demonstrations and exhibits of historical tools and methods.
For the first time, this year’s field days will also have equestrian events including dressage and show jumping as well as heavy horse displays and other horse related exhibitors.
Other attractions include daily fashion parades, cooking and floral art demonstrations. Food and drinks will also be available on site.
The 62nd annual Australian National Field Days will take place over three days, today, tomorrow and Saturday, at 563 Borenore Road, 15 kilometres west of Orange, from 8.30am to 5pm.
Car parking is available on site or a shuttle bus is available from Orange. Buses will leave the victors centre in Byng Street at 9am, 10am and 11am each day. It will return from the blue car park at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.
Tickets are adults $15, school age children $5, family $35, $10 concession (pensioner card only). Two day passes are also available.
