The Fire and Rescue NSW Band and Precision Marching Team will put the finishing touches on the three-day championships with a much anticipated performance.
The community is invited to enjoy a superb display of talent and synchronicity that has been described as a "last farewell" to the event as it prepares to leave Bathurst.
Meanwhile, the competition continued at Bathurst Showground yesterday.
Defending champs Kelso FRNSW began the second day of competition in top spot and continue to hold a strong position as day three gets underway.
But NSW Police and Fire Rescue media, ministerial and communications assistant director Andrew Pearson, who has been in Bathurst for the event, said all the competitors were showing their competitive side.
"They are taking it very seriously today," he said yesterday.
Kelso FRNSW deputy captain Shane Kearney agreed that the level of competition was high. "Any one of five teams has the ability to win it," he said.
But Mr Kearney believes his crew's chances are as good as any team's after a stellar second day at Learmonth Park.
"We've been in the top five all day," he said.
"We just need to have a good day tomorrow [Saturday]."
During day two, the brigades competed in an urban pump disabled event, an urban pump and breeching event, a booster valve and remote access bag event, two hose and hydrant events, and a hose hydrant and extinguisher event.
In the afternoon, the championships incorporated a foam event into the program.
The Tamworth brigade volunteered to demonstrate the use of foam, which is becoming a more and more common method to fight fires.
n The Fire and Rescue NSW Band and Precision Marching Team will be at Kings Parade today from 1pm to 3pm.
